Bei einer Promo-Tour hat Keanu Reeves (er spielte in der Matrix-Trilogie Neo) erzählt, dass die Wachowski-Brüder (die Regisseure der Matrix-Trilogie) gerade die Arbeit an einem Drehbuch-Entwurf für einen neuen Matrix-Zweiteiler abgeschlossen hätten. Laut Reeves haben sich die beiden Brüder dafür auch mit James Cameron getroffen, um mit ihm die Möglichkeiten der neuen 3D-Technik auszuloten. Laut Keanu Reeves sei der Entwurf außerdem so gelungen, dass er das Actiongenre wieder einmal revolutionieren würde.
